Synopsis
School is over and
all the kids on one beautiful suburban block have their own ideas of how they
will spend their summer. Chad Summers, the coolest, most polite and respected
kid on the block, has a new job in mind, babysitting. However, Chad’s best
friend, Rob Walters, disapproves his friend's new job choice and is upset
further by Luis’s playful tease as to why Chad wants to spend time with little
girls. Their neighborhood is affluent, the girls are bored and all the parents
are busy. Love and loss go hand in hand when these two friends discover that age
does not exempt them from tragedy because to the world you may be one person,
but to one person you may be the world.

Misc.
Producer, Rose
Ganguzza read the script and loved it- she compared it to "Crash" ( Gross
revenue $55.4 M- USA~ 3 Oscars), but with an unexpected type of ending like "
"The Sixth Sense"($662M Worldwide~ nominated for 6 Oscars)
Others loved the
script and categorized it along "Little Children".
The script takes you on a
ride of "assumption" which in the ends turns out to be quite different from what
many assume when reading , yet still very sad. It's worded to reveal very little
visually making the mind fill in the blanks from what they feel, think, and
hear; which is what makes it dark~ just like
Alfred Hitchcock did in his films~ Some of my favorite quotes from this
brilliant man are:" Always make the audience suffer as much as possible" and
"There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it".
This film will not be a gory
or pornographic flick, but it will be rated R for content.
* Slamdance reviewed
it as an unusual tragic story that can be successfully marketed.
* CENTURY 21
Screenplay reviewer
"This story has some
good elements of misunderstanding which cause a lot of violence and heartache.
The topic is a good one which is always relevant in today's society"
* Blue Cat Screenplay
reviewer
"I liked a lot of
things about this script. You have a great sense of structure and have created a
free flowing, page turner of a script. The story moves forward at a great pace.
There were moments I laughed and moments I literally squirmed. It really hit a
lot of great notes You used mis-direction well throughout. The opening scenes I
thought I was in store for another "Graduate" type of story. However, it turned
out to be an effective way to introduce Ella without dwelling on her too much.
The end was really great as I was thinking "Chad got what he deserved anyway and
then was proven wrong!"
